Free Uranium Market Data: Spot Price, SPUT, Stocks and CSV Downloads
60-second answer: The main free sources of uranium market data are Yellowcake Analytics (live U₃O₈ spot, SPUT holdings and NAV, a uranium stock screener with CSV export, a mines map and embeddable widgets), Cameco's monthly price page, the IMF uranium series on FRED, and price.uranium.io's live spot feed. Sprott publishes SPUT's NAV and pounds held daily. The benchmark spot assessments from UxC and TradeTech are paid; every free source either averages them monthly or estimates spot independently.
Uranium has no public exchange price. Spot is an over-the-counter assessment that price reporters sell to subscribers, so free data comes in three kinds: live estimates, monthly averages and issuer disclosures. Each source below states what it does and does not give you.
Where to get the uranium spot price for free
Four sources publish a uranium price at no cost, at different frequencies.
| Source | Frequency | History | Download | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yellowcake Analytics | Live, refreshes every 60 seconds while open | Daily to July 2007; monthly to 1992 | Daily-close CSV via the free weekly brief | Live on-chain spot feed, with a SPUT NAV-implied fallback |
| Cameco | Monthly | Spot from 1988 | On-page table | Industry average of UxC and TradeTech month-end prices |
| FRED (IMF) | Monthly | Monthly from 1992 | CSV and API | IMF "Global price of Uranium," a monthly period average in $/lb |
| price.uranium.io | Live, every 60 seconds | Charts back to its launch | Historical API on request | Model-derived fair-value spot estimate |
A few specifics matter when you pick one.
- Cameco calculates its spot and long-term prices from the month-end prices UxC and TradeTech publish. Long-term prices before May 2004 are TradeTech only, per Cameco's page. It is the closest free proxy for the paid benchmarks, at monthly resolution.
- FRED carries the IMF series PURANUSDM. The September 2026 value was $72.47/lb, updated October 22, 2026. It follows IMF methodology: a monthly period average, not a same-day spot assessment.
- price.uranium.io says its feed ingests Numerco market data with other inputs and is indicative, not executable. It may differ from any single reporter at a given moment.
- Yellowcake labels every price real, estimated or modeled. Our headline uses the live on-chain feed; if it fails, we fall back to a SPUT NAV-implied estimate, then an official monthly series shown with its month. On November 4, 2026 the headline spot was $91.89/lb. Read how the uranium spot price is set for the market structure.
How to track SPUT holdings and NAV daily
Sprott publishes the Sprott Physical Uranium Trust's NAV, market price, premium or discount, and total pounds held every trading day on its fund page. On November 5, 2026 it reported 81,697,348 lb of U₃O₈ held, with the units trading 13.40% below NAV.
Our SPUT tracker adds history. It charts premium or discount, daily pound changes and total holdings, and sums net weekly purchases into a demand series. That series has a CSV download (free account, one download a day). The financialized uranium page keeps SPUT's full banked premium and discount history and sets email alerts at a threshold you choose.
Where to download uranium stock data
The uranium stocks screener lists producers, developers and explorers with live price, market cap, resources in Mlbs U₃O₈, cost against spot, and EV per pound. A CSV export of the producer and developer screener is available with a free account, one download a day.
Subscribers to the free weekly brief also get a daily CSV of the screener snapshot and the daily spot closes. Get the weekly uranium brief by email.
General finance sites such as Yahoo Finance carry prices for listed uranium stocks and ETFs. They do not carry uranium-specific fields such as resources, grade or AISC (all-in sustaining cost), which come from company technical reports.
Mines, reactors and supply data
Most uranium supply data is public if you know where to look.
- Mines: the uranium mines map plots 74 mine and mill sites with cited production, resources, grade and ownership, and the largest uranium mines in the world ranks the top ten. The WNA World Uranium Mining Production page is the free reference for output by country, company and mine.
- Reactors: the reactor tracker tracks the small modular reactor pipeline and the DOE reactor pilot program; reactor sites on the map come from Global Energy Monitor's tracker (CC BY 4.0).
- Production: the uranium production tracker holds quarterly dried-and-drummed output by company and operation, copied from each quarterly report.
- Imports: the uranium imports tracker tracks monthly US and EU uranium imports from USITC DataWeb and Eurostat Comext, the only free transaction-derived signal in uranium.
For utility demand, the EIA Uranium Marketing Annual (US) and the Euratom Supply Agency annual report (EU) are free. We chart both on the utility coverage tracker.

Methodology and data labels
Every headline figure on the site carries one of three labels, documented on our methodology page.
- Real: taken directly from a primary source, such as a price feed, an exchange quote or a filing.
- Estimated: derived from real inputs with a disclosed calculation, such as a NAV-implied spot price.
- Modeled: from a forward model, such as a demand projection; the least certain.
We do not republish UxC, TradeTech or other paywalled price-agency data. Yellowcake is not a broker, fund or issuer, holds no position and takes no payment to feature any company.
